Esanland, also known as Esan Nation, is a cultural region in Edo State, Nigeria, with the following geographical features:

Location

Esanland is located in the central part of Edo State, west of the Niger River, and is bordered by Kogi State, Delta State, and the Edo North and Edo South Senatorial Districts. 

Landscape

Esanland is a dissected plateau with a flat landscape, high temperatures, rainfall, and humidity. It's located in the tropical rain forest belt and has a height of 390 meters (1300ft) above sea level. 

Local Government Areas

Esanland is made up of five Local Government Areas: Esan Central, Esan West, Esan North-East, Esan South-East, and Igueben.

Some towns and villages in Esanland include: Ekpoma, Irrua, Ubiaja, Ogwa, Ebelle, Ekpon, Ewossa,  Amahor,  Ewu and  Uromi.

Climate

The relative humidity in Esanland varies between 75%–90% in the rainy season and 50%–75% in the dry season.
